The belt needs to be cut to you size, I had to cut 5" off from mine and utility scissors worked well for that. The buckle is not attached to the belt when the package arrives. After cutting the belt to fit, it goes into a slot in the buckle and the a latch is closed to hold the belt in place. I had trouble getting the latch to close fully so I used a small block of wood and a hammer and gently knocked the latch closed.
There is no information on the box about having to cut the belt or how to attach the buckle and no instructions that came with it.
